It's hard to believe it is already spring and summer is just around the corner!

Before it sneaks up on us, I would like to extend an invitation to the congregation to come join us in serving and mentoring the preschool moms for our annual Mother's Day Tea on May 10, at 11:00 AM in the Large Fellowship Hall. It's a simple and fun day where we help the kiddos treat their moms to a special time. If anyone would like to contribute a dozen cookies, brownies, little sandwiches or any other little finger food, or if you’d be willing to come that morning and help the preschool children serve their moms, we would love the help and fellowship! Just call Kandy at 482-1357 for details or questions.

Here are a few things happening in April. We welcome you all to come visit anytime, but we especially welcome visitors for special days like the following:

• April 3 at 10:00 AM: Rocky Mountain Raptor Program comes to preschool with a live owl who is being rehabilitated and we will learn all about him. Super fun day!
• April 12 and 13: Easter celebration with egg coloring and egg hunt.
• April 17 at 9:00 AM: Intergenerational music activity led by a CSU grad student. Brookdale will bring a bus of residents to our preschool for the activity. We are really excited about this, so please feel free to come join us!
• April 20 and 21: Parent/Teacher conferences.
• April 24 at 9:00 AM: Intergenerational music activity, our final session.

Our live caterpillars will arrive this month as we learn about metamorphosis, and we will release the butterflies at the Mother's Day tea.

I would also like to thank everyone who has helped in so many ways at our preschool. I couldn't do it without all your help and support. A huge thank you to June Donaldson for helping to greet each and every family who came to the Open House! I also want to thank Beverly McKenzie, owner of Espresso People and Bammy’s Gourmet Cookie Dough, for her donation of four dozen cookies to the successful Open House held February 9.
