We will be in Haiti from June 9 to June 16. Please put this on your calendar and remember to pray for us! Pray for Haiti, a country with more need than a thousand groups like ours could possibly address. Pray for Heartline Ministries, where we will be working for the week. Pray that the only hurricanes we see come in glasses!
Here is our itinerary: On Saturday (June 9) we fly to Miami on the red-eye flight from Denver, then from Miami to Port au Prince, arriving by mid-morning. Sunday we attend church with the missionaries, John and Beth, in Port au Prince. Monday through Thursday we will be doing a variety of jobs in the Heartline maternity clinic, vocational schools, home for teen moms and facility. On Friday we have a free day to tour the city of Port au Prince, go to the market, see goat heads and shop … Saturday we leave Port au Prince in the morning and arrive in Denver at 7:30 PM.
We will be posting to this blog at least each evening, as our internet connection allows!

We all look forward to sharing our adventures with you when we return. Many thanks for your amazing support and prayers!
“Hesed” is a Hebrew word that means “kindness”, “mercy”, “loyalty”, “loving-kindness” or “steadfastness.” It’s the way God intends us to live together—a “love your neighbor as yourself”, active, selfless, sacrificial, caring-for-one-another brand of living contradictory to our fallen natures. The “Heseders” are continually looking to work together to share some small measure of God’s extraordinary love. Won’t you join us?
