Mt. Calvary Lutheran in Estes Park sent Saint John's a thank you note for the donation of over $3,000 the congregation raised to help victims of the September floods:
Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Estes Park thanks you and your congregation for the generous donation given for flood victims in our area. We were able to assist our own pastor and congregation members as well as reach out to friends of our members who suffered losses during the recent flood. It has been comforting for these flood victims to know that they are in the thoughts and prayers of so many.
Thank you to the members of Saint John's for your generosity!
“Hesed” is a Hebrew word that means “kindness”, “mercy”, “loyalty”, “loving-kindness” or “steadfastness.” It’s the way God intends us to live together—a “love your neighbor as yourself”, active, selfless, sacrificial, caring-for-one-another brand of living contradictory to our fallen natures. The “Heseders” are continually looking to work together to share some small measure of God’s extraordinary love. Won’t you join us?
