The church council meets on the third Tuesday of every month. If you have a question or comment about a topic you read about here—or about anything pertaining to the life of Saint John’s—please contact one of your Council members. Here are the notes from the June 18, 2013, meeting.

Enrollment is still lagging significantly for this fall. We will be getting a new banner for the front of the church to help advertise. Word of mouth is always the best, so help spread the word to friends and neighbors with pre-school age children.

Our church council president, Ron Young, will be traveling to Denver to meet with Rocky Mountain District president Rev. Al Anderson to discuss St John’s and the next steps in moving our call process forward.

There are many boards in need of members’s time and talents to help our church function fully. Please consider serving, and speak with Pastor Nickel or a church council member about your gifts and St. John’s needs can match up.

It has been a long time since our last photo directory. We’ll be looking at resources with the hope of creating a new one in the fall.

The thirteen members of the Church Council are the “Board of Directors” of the congregation, tasked with general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws.
