God the Father sent His Son into the world, so that the world might have life in Him. Jesus is the Bread of Life who comes down to us in the flesh, that we may partake in His body and blood and thereby live forever: His strength delivers us to the mountain of God. So nourished, we strive to live by the example that Jesus set for us, to “walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.” How do we imitate God? By “forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
