Jesus’ parables convey the mysteries of the Kingdom of God to those able to hear by faith. Jesus scatters seed on the ground, which sprouts and grows. God promised that the young and tender twig would become a noble cedar. Indeed, Christ’s cross, the Tree of Life, brings us together as branches, as fruit and as the birds that dwell safely in its cover. In faith we live for God in Christ, who for our sake died and was raised. In His resurrected body we have “a building from God … eternal in the heavens.”
