On that first Easter Sunday, the crucified and risen Lord Jesus appeared to His disciples. He stood among them, granted them His peace and, in John's Gospel, breathed on them the gift of the Holy Spirit. He called them out of their locked hiding place to proclaim the word of life that they saw, heard and touched. We have not seen Jesus’ face or felt His wounds, but through their witness we believe! The Church is united by their testimony, and all who believe this word are “one in heart and mind.”
