This month we are highlighting the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) grant of $93,000 for Training Lutheran Middle Eastern Missionaries.
The Biblical Orthodox Lutheran Mission (BOLM) is a ministry primarily to Arabic-speaking people, most of whom are Muslim. This ministry brings the Good News of salvation by the power of the Holy Spirit through an internet seminary.
There are many challenges when sharing the love of Christ and teaching the Word of God to people of the Muslim faith from around the world. The possibility of confusion, stress and persecution are increased as Satan tries to maintain his stronghold. But the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of many as they hear Biblical truth. These Arabic students are eager to learn about Jesus, and this leads to many giving their testimony of faith and to their baptism.
This Grant will allow the Biblical Orthodox Lutheran Mission to:
- Operate the Internet Seminary for two years;
- Provide Bibles in many languages for Muslims;
- Print Luther’s Small Catechism in Arabic; and
- Pay for cell phones, land lines and an international phone network.
These provisions will assist the BOLM in bringing the Good News of salvation, in discipling and educating new believers, and, as God’s plan unfolds, assist in commissioning new missionaries around the world who will share the life-giving Word of God and the love of Jesus with many others.
