The annual Fall Fair is coming soon! The members of Saint John’s always look forward to the Fall Fair as a great opportunity to eat, socialize and shop while supporting a worthy cause. Join us in the Large Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 11, starting right after the worship service.
This year a continental breakfast—an egg bake, fruit and juice—will be available for a free-will offering. Plan to complete your breakfast by purchasing some of the delicious homemade baked goodies at the bake sale. You are also welcome to shop at the craft, quilt and plant tables at this time.
At the usual Bible Class time, 10:30, we will break from the sale for a presentation by Kimberly Pepmiller and Nelly Sanford on their work with the LCMS’ Medical Mission teams in Uganda and Kenya. You will have a chance to finish up your shopping after Bible Class until noon.
Saint John’s members provide a broad variety of baked goods, crafts, quilts and plants. They make excellent gifts! The prices are low and every item is crafted with something you can’t buy in a store: Love! If you bake, craft or have too many plants, please consider donating!
The Fall Fair is sponsored by our Lutheran Women in Mission (Saint John’s Mission Guild). The members of Thrivent Financial will provide funding for the breakfast. The proceeds from this year’s Fair will go to Eric and Linda Funke, missionaries with Global Lutheran Missions in Tanzania, to put toward the building of a library for their school.
The Mission Guild is Saint John’s branch of the national Lutheran Women’s Missionary League organization that participates in mission projects both at home and abroad.
