Special Congregation Meeting
The church council has called a special meeting to discuss the financial status of Open Arms Christian Preschool for the 2014–2015 school year. The meeting will be on Sunday, August 10, at 10:30 AM in the Large Fellowship Hall.
An Evening of Flowers, Food and Fellowship
On Tuesday, August 12, All Ladies of the congregation and Mission Guild members are invited to come enjoy beautiful flowers (bring a hat if you don’t like the sun), a special devotion and Mite box collection and dinner at the Country Buffet (at about 6:00 pm) for food and fellowship.
We start at 5:00 PM at the gazebo at the CSU Flower Trial Gardens (1401 Remington St). No need to RSVP—just come and join in the fun!
Third Thursday Potluck and Presentation
Bring a dish to share and join the Elderberries for food and fellowship at this monthly event. After the meal the Poudre Fire Authority will be presenting a program called “Preventing Falls and Fire Safety.”
Join us in the Small Fellowship Hall on Thursday, August 21, at Noon.
Northern Zone LWML Fall Rally
Come and share some “Harvest Stew” (continuing the district convention theme of “Great is the Harvest”), where Pastor George Naeem will present on “Understanding Islam and Reaching Muslims with the Gospel.”
The Rally is on September 6 at Mt. Hope in Boulder. There is an $8 registration fee. Registration begins at 8:30 am.
Elderberries Rockies Game
The Elderberries of Saint John’s are hosting their annual trip to attend a Rockies game versus the Dodgers on September 17 (a Wednesday) at 1:00 PM. Tickets are $5 each, which includes transportation from Saint John’s to the stadium. Drop your payment off to Wil Shimoda (482-0101) or the church office by Friday, September 5, to reserve your spot.
Women's Fall Retreat
The women of Saint John's will have an all-day retreat with a garden theme, time for a hike and much beauty of word, fellowship and surroundings on Saturday, October 4. It will be held at Primrose Studio (North Overland Trail between Fort Collins and LaPorte). Save the date!
