As part of the many fun activities connected to the Heseders’ upcoming Artisan Fair and Bazaar (November 11 and 12), there will be a silent auction. We would very much appreciate help from the congregation providing donations for the auction. Ideas:
- Art pieces (painting, sculpture and others)
- Gift cards to restaurants, spas, salons
- Tickets to events
- Gifts cards for services like snow-shoveling, lawn and yard care
- Condo rental for a weekend getaway
- Be creative!
You can donate as an individual, of course, but we’re also looking for local businesses that might be interested in promoting themselves by providing a donation. Why should businesses give? We are expecting strong support and attendance from the communities of Fort Collins, Loveland, Wellington and Windsor, giving business-owners a great opportunity for promotion in our advertising and publicity for the Fair.
We are getting ready to send out donation request letters to local businesses. If you are aware of a business you think we should contact, please call or email Tom at the church office or leave a message for Joyce at 970-204-1159.
“Hesed” is a Hebrew word that means “kindness,” “mercy,” “loyalty,” “loving-kindness” or “steadfastness.” It’s the way God intends us to live together—a “love your neighbor as yourself,” active, selfless, sacrificial, caring-for-one-another brand of living contradictory to our fallen natures. The “Heseders” are continually looking to work together to share some small measure of God’s extraordinary love. Won’t you join us?
