The church council meets on the third Tuesday of every month. If you have a question or comment about a topic you read about here—or about anything pertaining to the life of Saint John’s—please contact one of your Council members. Here is a summary of the September and October meetings:

Offerings have risen a little over the last couple of months, and we are slightly in the black year-to-date. If this trend continues we look forward to being able to end the year on a positive financial note!

In order to help our church function more efficiently, to better define roles and responsibilities and to enable our pastor to focus on ministry, the Human Resources Board and Council have worked on defining duties for a Parish Administrator. More information coming soon.

Council has been working hard on a budget for next year and will present it for your approval at our annual meeting.

Our Board of Trustees have been hard at work once again, preparing our building and grounds for the upcoming winter. Your help on fall cleanup days is always appreciated.

Our annual Voters’ Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2013, following Bible Study. Agenda items will include approval of next year’s budget and election of Church Council officers and members. Your input is crucial; please plan to attend.

The thirteen members of the Church Council are the “Board of Directors” of the congregation, tasked with general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws.
