Every summer Saint John’s Food and Clothing Bank files a report with the Larimer County Food Bank of how many people have received food support from us over the last year. Here are our numbers for the last year:
- July, 2017: 41 children, 34 adults, 3 seniors, including 8 families on food stamps.
- August, 2017: 127 children, 103 adults, 6 seniors, including 24 families on food stamps.
- September, 2017: 61 children, 57 adults, 0 seniors, including 7 families on food stamps.
- October, 2017: 77 children, 74 adults, 1 seniors, including 13 families on food stamps.
- November, 2017: 99 children, 80 adults, 4 seniors, including 5 families on food stamps.
- December, 2017: 76 children, 45 adults, 3 senior, including 11 families on food stamps.
- January, 2018: 66 children, 55 adults, 1 seniors, including 10 families on food stamps.
- February, 2018: 47 children, 53 adults, 2 seniors, including 11 families on food stamps.
- March, 2018: 72 children, 67 adults, 4 seniors, including 12 families on food stamps.
- April, 2018: 73 children, 57 adults, 0 seniors, including 8 families on food stamps.
- May, 2018: 76 children, 74 adults, 1 senior, including 12 families on food stamps.
- June, 2018: 60 children, 52 adults, 4 senior, including 9 families on food stamps.
That’s a total of 875 children, 751 adults and 29 seniors, including 130 families on food stamps. This is more than 100 more children and over 120 more adults than last year, and doesn’t even include the families who have come for clothing!
The volunteers of the Food and Clothing Bank—Marlys, Dorla, Barb, Gloria, Helen, Barb and Fran—send a huge “thank you” to our Saint John’s family for your generous support. The Lord has truly blessed us!
The Board of Human Needs finds opportunities for the members of Saint John’s to provide a Christian witness by helping people in the community struggling with daily necessities.
