The annual Fall Fair is coming soon! The members of Saint John’s always look forward to the Fall Fair as a great opportunity to eat, socialize and shop while supporting worthy causes. Join us in the Large Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 12, starting right after the worship service.
This year a continental breakfast of egg muffins, fruit and juice will be available for a free will offering. Be sure to complement your breakfast with a purchase from our variety of delicious homemade baked goods at the bake sale.
We will then have Bible class and Sunday school as usual. You will have a chance to finish up your shopping after Bible class until noon.
Saint John’s members provide a broad variety of baked goods, crafts and plants. They make excellent gifts! The prices are low and every item is crafted with something you can’t buy in a store: love! If you bake, craft or have too many plants, please consider donating!
The Fall Fair is sponsored by our Lutheran Women in Mission (Saint John’s Mission Guild) and members of Thrivent Financial. The proceeds from the Fair will go to our beneficiaries:
Eric and Linda Funke
In 2012, Bill and Lola Funke’s grandson, Eric, and his wife, Linda, followed God’s call and moved to Mwadui, Tanzania. They are working in the East of Lake Victoria Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania, a sister church of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Eric teaches math, physics and computer science at Mwadui Lutheran Secondary School.
Linda is a community developer for the Department of Planning and Development, and also serves as a counselor and Bible teacher at the school.
Saint John’s Clothing Bank
Every Tuesday, we sort and distribute clothing and small household items to needy members of the Fort Collins community. Some of the funds raised from this year’s fair will be used to purchase children’s clothes, which are always in high demand and short supply.
Please help support this fundraiser with your donations and purchases at this year’s Fall Fair on Sunday, October 12.
The Mission Guild is Saint John’s branch of the national Lutheran Women’s Missionary League organization that participates in mission projects both at home and abroad.
