Well, the quarter has come to an end here at Concordia Seminary and I thought it would be a great time to write and let you know how I am doing. The weather is getting warmer, the winter is coming to an end and that an only means one thing … motorcycle time! This is very exciting, to say the least. The winter hasn't been that harsh, but I am certainly looking forward to the spring change of weather and the new classes I’ll be taking.
This last week, after the quarter ended, I toured with the Laudamus choir here at the seminary. We traveled a line basically through Chicago and into the greater Milwaukee area. We sang for a few services in the Chicago area then sang for services in Milwaukee, Sheboygan and, finally, Racine. It was a wonderful trip. I enjoyed the time to get away and relax after a busy quarter and the guys who went touring were a blast to hang out with.
I completed Hebrew this quarter, which means I am finally done with all of my language requirements. This is very exciting! I've been in the languages for twenty weeks now and I am greatly looking forward to the variety of classes coming up. This next semester I’ll have some introductory history classes, a worship class and a few Lutheran theology classes. All of these should be very enjoyable. However, I don’t wish for classes to start too soon! This next week of break I’ll be going back home. I am dearly looking forward to spending time with family and seeing you all. Plus, I hear the mountains have finally been getting snow with the very mild winter, so there will be some ski trips on the agenda for sure!
I can’t thank you enough for your continued support as I prepare for ministry! I am deeply grateful for the prayers and financial support that has kept me here and able to afford my education. I honestly wouldn't be able to afford a seminary education without your support. I hope you all are doing well and I can’t wait to see you all over spring break!
