The annual Fall Fair is coming soon! The members of Saint John’s always look forward to the Fall Fair as a great opportunity to eat, socialize, and shop while supporting a worthy cause.
Join us in the Large Fellowship Hall on Sunday, October 23, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Saint John’s members provide a broad variety of baked goods, crafts, and plants that will be on sale all morning. The prices are low and every item is crafted with something you can’t buy in a store: TLC—tender loving care. In addition to these sales there will be a silent auction and sealed bid auction, featuring for the first time special baskets prepared by our various boards. If you bake, craft, have too many plants or have an item for the silent or sealed bid auctions, please consider donating! A Sloppy Joe lunch (back by popular demand) will be served starting at 11:30 am. A free-will offering will be collected at the door for the lunch. Once again, a variety of pie slices will also be available.
The Fall Fair is sponsored by our Lutheran Women in Mission (Saint John’s Mission Guild) and the members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The proceeds from the sales and the lunch plus supplemental funds from the North Larimer County Chapter of Thrivent will go to this year’s recipients: the Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope and Crossroads Safe House, both in Fort Collins.
Help support this fund raiser with your donations and purchases at this year’s Fall Fair on Sunday, October 23.
Crossroads Safehouse is the largest direct service provider for victims of domestic violence in Colorado. The secure Safehouse provides food, clothing, and support for over 300 residents every year. Their services and programs include 24/7 crisis intervention, emergency safehousing, counseling and support groups and a youth program.
The Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope is a resource center for families and individuals who are homeless or on the brink of homelessness. The mission of the Center for Hope is to help them achieve stability and long-term self-sufficiency. The Center also provides a variety of complementary services, like employment and housing resources and financial counseling.
