Here’s the most recent news from “Thrivent Cares—Lutherans Share.”
Food Drive
During their second annual Food Drive, Thrivent Cares—Lutherans Share will be feeding people physically and spiritually. Please bring nonperishable food items to the church between July 1 and September 30 and leave it in the barrel by the Welcome Center. Donations will be passed on to Saint John’s Food and Clothing Bank for distribution in the community. Labels printed with John 3:16 will be placed on all of the donated items.
For a little added fun and incentive, Thrivent Cares—Lutherans Share will be supplementing your donation of food or money. They will give 50 cents per pound for the first 500 pounds, Saint John’s collects, 75 cents per pound for the next 250 pounds and $1 per pound from 750 to 1,000 pounds. Monetary donations will be supplemented by 50 cents on the dollar, up to $1,000.
NEW … Is your garden overflowing with fresh produce? The Larimer County Food Bank will gladly accept your fresh fruits and vegetables. If you tell them it is for Thrivent Cares, Saint John’s will get credit toward incentives in our Thrivent Cares/Lutherans Share Food Drive! Just submit a copy of the food bank receipt to the church office.
Kitchen Party “Thank You!”
Thank you to all who donated time to help set up the four kitchens at the new Crossroads Safehouse. We couldn’t have done it all without you! And a heartfelt “Thank You” to everyone who supported and generously donated to this project … with your help, we were able to not only furnish these kitchens with basic necessities, but were also able to present Crossroads with a check for $1,208.16. Many Blessings to each and every one of you!
