At the May Congregation meeting, the membership voted to sell the rental house at 326 Garfield. The proceeds from this sale will be applied toward the church loan.
To prepare the house for listing, there was a work night on June 15 to give the house more “curb appeal.” A great number of members and some boy scouts and leaders from Troop 96 came to work. They trimmed and removed trees, shrubs, plants and weeds, cleaned windows and cleared out the basement. The big piles of limbs and shrubs have been run through a chipper and taken to be recycled, a hand rail has been installed to access the basement, electric work has been completed, the garage is being cleared out, the fish pond drained and the front porch has been painted.
Thank you to all who worked at 326 Garfield to get it ready to sell. What a great transformation! Hopefully all this work will help us sell this house quickly and at something close to the asking price!
