On Sunday, January 3, we celebrated EPIPHANY, which actually falls on January 6, with blended services at 8:00 and 10:45 am. Epiphany is the celebration of the manifestation of Jesus–the savior of the world–to the world!

    John Chrysostom, Bishop of Constantinople, died 407
    Monday, September 13

    John was a priest in Antioch and an outstanding preacher. His eloquence earned him the nickname "Chrysostom" ("golden mouth"). Appointed bishop of Constantinople, seat of the empire, he criticized corruption in the court. As a result, he was exiled by the empress.
