Tender Care Nursery |
A carefully screened staff provides safe and happy child care for babies and young children up through age three on Sunday mornings, during special scheduled events and meetings. Pagers that buzz and blink are given to all parents when they bring their children. |
Cradle Roll |
Parents are sent special materials and informative pamphlets on Christian parenting and developmental stages of their child from birth through age three. Baby's name, birth and baptism date are placed on a little white t-shirt and hung on our Beginnings Banner. |
Cradle Cooks |
Nutritious meals are prepared and brought to families of newborns of Saint John's to welcome them and share God's love. |
Parents & Twos Together With Jesus |
This Sunday School class is gathering, exploring and growing time for parents and their two year olds together with Jesus. |
Sunday School |
God has first given the responsibility of teaching about Him to parents (Deuteronomy 6:4–9). Saint John's helps parents fulfill that responsibility through our Sunday School ministry. Children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, praise Him with singing, witness their faith and serve their Savior. |
New Life Festival |
The resurrection becomes very real and meaningful at this exciting event on the day before Easter. Children gather for multi-sensory learning activities centered around the meaning of Lent and Easter. |
Dial-A-Devotion |
Children are given opportunities each week to read and record, on the phone, specially written devotions and prayers for other children to call and listen. Call 482-0619. |
Children's Lenten Art Show |
Children in preschool through 6th grade are invited to create, through art, their interpretation of a Bible story from "The Passion of Christ" to be displayed for show. |
Holy Communion Class |
Pastor Bestian leads this six-lesson course in late winter and is offered to children in the 5th grade and up. Those ready will then receive their First Communion in the Maundy Thursday worship service before Easter. |
TEAM 56 |
This 5th and 6th grade preteen group is eligible to participate in the acolyte, Holy Communion class and Dial-A-Devotion program. |
Kids Night Out—Bible Blast |
A special night for kids in grades one to six to grow in faith and their relationship with God through fellowship, food and praise. Presenting KIDMO, a high-impact media-driven Bible experience. |
Worship Dance Ministry |
Through interpretative liturgical dance, children learn to interpret, through dance, the words of a song or hymn in front of the congregation as a religious expression of faith and joy. |
Family Christmas Worship Service |
The children in the Sunday School preschool through 6th grade join other members to lead the congregation in a worship service celebrating the birth of Christ. |
Hearts For Jesus |
This activity gives children the opportunity, in the month of February, to share God's love with other people through a world-wide mission project. This mission project differs each year. |
Acolytes |
Children in the 5th grade and up light and extinguish the candles on the altar and assist with communion in worship services. |
Friends And Family NightVacation Bible School |
Five nights in the summer where people of all ages, from birth to 100, gather for dinner and fun-filled nights of food, praise, crafts, games and Bible adventures. |
Kid's Praise Choir |
Children in the Sunday School have opportunities to sing praises to God and share that with the congregation during worship services. |
